SENSORVIEW will launch the semiconductor test equipment business of LPDDR, which is growing its growth potential due to on-device AI early next year, and DDR5, which is expected to benefit from AI semiconductor growth.

"The interface board for HIFIX (High Fidelity Tester Access Fix) equipment, which is a semiconductor test equipment, will be mass-produced early next year," a SENSORVIEW official said in a telephone interview with iNews24. "The next step is to mass-produce test equipment including interface boards, and we aim to deliver it to customers in total packages including test sockets."

HIFIX, a tester aid, has an exclusive position at Japanese company A, and Korean conglomerates S and H are major customers of Company A's HIFIX.

According to data from the International Semiconductor Equipment Materials Association (SEMI), the size of the HIFIX market is estimated to be about USD 559.3 million (731.8 billion won) from about USD 420 million (549.5 billion won based on the KRW 1308 exchange rate) in 2020.

SENSORVIEW is pushing for delivery to S and H, breaking away from Company A's monopoly structure. SENSORVIEW's HIFIX was tested for performance at H's test house, a major customer, and passed. Currently, a TF team has been formed to register H's vander and is pushing for an official supply next year. In addition, S's semiconductor division is also pushing for registering vander related to HIFIX products.

The final goal is to supply test sockets and test equipment in the form of total packages to production processes such as DDR5, LPDDR, and GDDR.

In addition, it has a plan to expand to the system-on-chip (Soc) field, not limited to the memory field, and it plans to secure overseas customers through collaboration with T company as well as Korea.

SENSORVIEW's HIFIX serves to minimize defects through RF test equipment and DC test equipment before semiconductor shipment.

RF test equipment detects defective elements in advance by checking whether ▲ connector pin is defective, ▲ connectivity between connector and socket board, ▲socket board via/trace connection, etc.

DC test equipment detects whether ▲signal (power pin) is defective, ▲detects whether connector and socket board are faulty connection, ▲detects whether socket board and electrical parts are defective.
