It's the only one that meets electromagnetic interference shielding standards.
Supply of initial supplies to verify mass production.
It is predicted that large base stations will be expanded after 5G femtocell is installed.

Sensor View (CEO Kim Byung-nam) will supply ultra-small transmission lines to Qualcomm, a global 5th generation (G) semiconductor leader, after fierce global competition with Japanese companies with innovative material and parts convergence technologies.

Sensor View, a 5G antenna and cable manufacturer, was selected as a supplier of ultra-small transmission lines for 5G by Qualcomm on the 17th (local time) to verify mass production.

It said it will start supplying initial supplies.

Sensor View proved its competitiveness in the global ultra-small transmission path market, which was mostly occupied by Japanese companies, by localizing materials and design technologies and expanding products in the global semiconductor parts market.

The ultra-small transmission line developed by Sensor View will be installed at small base stations such as 5G femtocell and then expanded to medium and large base stations.

This product is a ultra-small line with less than 1mm that connects a radio frequency (RF) module semiconductor that processes radio signals and a baseband semiconductor that manages radio functions.

Kim Byung-nam, CEO of Sensor View, said, "The world's first differentiated connector design in a slide fastening method satisfies the shielding of electromagnetic interference (EMI), which is the core requirement of customers."

"We received an evaluation that we have innovatively improved the existing connector design method that was vulnerable to vibration through the stability of the instrument," he said.

He also said, "We improved the signal loss of transmission lines by more than 20% compared to overseas competitors, satisfying all the major specifications required by customers in millimeter wave band products. It has great advantages in price and performance over flat multilayer laminated cable products as well as existing same products, so it will be installed as a key product in systems that require the highest performance, he added.

Sensor View registered its products with Qualcomm and started supplying initial mass production verification supplies, and Qualcomm is in the process of registering sensor views on a list of global approved vendors.

Sensor View sees all OEM companies that use Qualcomm semiconductors as potential customers and plans to expand product supply in the future.

Sensor View is cooperating with global 5G semiconductor leaders. It is currently cooperating on various platform technologies according to the customer's next-generation semiconductor launch roadmap.

From the end of this year, it plans to supply vertical integrated products for the rest of the parts except for customer chips, beyond cable technology to connector and antenna technologies. It is going to maximize synergy through step-by-step growth of the business and cooperative development with customers.

CEO Kim Byung-nam said, "It is quite unusual for a leading global semiconductor company to select Korean SMEs as suppliers and propose new opportunities," adding, "It is an encouraging result of recognizing sensor view's 5G antenna, cable material, and design technology at the highest level."
